So My Grandmother told me we were Irish. I must have been secretly air lifted back to the mother land to be born.

What is your problem? I am sure many did not see it posted before-——as to your point, it would be like calling somebody a Frenchman, even though he was born in America, just because he had some French ancestry. It isnt done.

example: People don’t call a person “French” if they are born in the USA, just because they have a Frenchborn parent.
