Hawaii governor announces 'exact' place of Obama birth

'Question has been asked and answered, and I think we should all move on now'

More than a year and half after Barack Obama was elected commander in chief, the governor of Hawaii is now publicly voicing the alleged exact location of Obama's birth, saying "the president was, in fact, born at Kapi'olani Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii."

The disclosure is believed to be the first time a state government official has declared the precise place where Obama was born, despite numerous other published claims, including some for a different hospital in Honolulu.

The remark came Sunday night when Gov. Linda Lingle, a Republican, was interviewed on New York's WABC Radio by host Rabbi Shmuley Boteach.

"It's been an odd situation," Lingle said, referring to the continuing controversy over the disputed natural-born citizenship of Obama. "This issue kept coming up so much in the campaign, and again I think it's one of those issues that is simply a distraction from the more critical issues that are facing the country.

"So I had my health director, who is a physician by background, go personally view the birth certificate in the birth records of the Department of Health, and we issued a news release at that time saying that the president was, in fact, born at Kapi'olani Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The Kapi'olani Medical Center for Woman and Children in Hawaii is one of two Honolulu hospitals at which that President Obama is alleged to have been born. Although the governor now claims she issued a news release stating Kapi'olani is Obama's birthplace, the actual release said no such thing, making no reference to Kapi'olani nor any other specific location of Obama's birth.

I would like to see a new national billboard campaign with something like this:

"He was born at Kapiolani Hospital".

Such a billboard message might put tremendous pressure on Kapiolani Hospital officials to either verify or deny the billboard statement.

Here’s a tidbit to consider.
When I was working the phones at local Republican HQ in fall of 2008, Lingle stopped in (along with Joe Lieberman) to ‘rally the troops’(that worked out well).
The very first words out of her mouth were that 0bama was “really born in Hawaii”.
I was stunned that a Republican governor’s first utterance was to speak up for the Dem candidate.It was truly bizarre and remarkably curious and suspicious.
Lingle is a cunning governor. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist throwing that in).

She didn’t even know what Fukino actually said. Hardly a credible statement.

If Obama had been born at Kapiolani I would think he would have known not to put a Tuesday “date filed” on the fake COLB he posted. That alone tells us he was not born at Kapiolani. Kapiolani BC’s were sent to the state registrar’s office on Friday - like the Nordykes’, who should have been in the same batch with Obama, if he was born Friday evening after office hours and they were born on Saturday.

Lingle obviously hasn’t read a thing any of us have sent to her office. Jerks.

Lingle having said that and WND printing it means that this piece of information has been “published” - which means that item on the actual document is not protected from disclosure. Because she made a public statement Hawaii law should allow anybody to ask for and receive the documents used for making that statement.

We could see almost everything in his file at this point if somebody filed a lawsuit and was willing to appeal it beyond the reach of Hawaii judges.

Lingle has to say Obama was born in Hawaii, even though the amendment to his BC doesn’t allow ANYBODY to say anything affirming what is on that BC, because federal money to Hawaii would be jeopardized if she said otherwise. She’s breaking the law, though. HRS 338-18(a) does prohibit disclosures from birth certificates except those authorized by law and rules - and neither the law nor the rules authorize public statements; they only authorize the release of actual documents.

Lingle has now broken the law to cover for Obama, although I suppose her saying that “Fukino said” would cover for her - except that Fukino never did say that so this was a disclosure by Lingle. Yep, she broke the law.

I think I could count on one hand the number of times in my dealings with them that anybody in Hawaii actually HAS followed their laws without being hounded to do so. They’re batting about .010.

This also tells me that Lt Governor Duke Ainoa is probably the only person in Hawaii with any balls. It was almost certainly he who got the DOH administrative rules posted as required by law. I doubt he’d have the courage to initiate an investigation of his own governor though.

Even if it is proven 100 percent that Obama is a NBC, we birthers will be vindicated. For if it were not for us, we never would have known one way or another.

Lingle's statement, above, is a lie.  Fukino's statement never identified Kapiolani as Obama's birthplace -- never, never, never!

Fukino said, "[I have]...personally seen and verified that the Hawai‘i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record...," so there is a document. Hawaii released an Adobe document containing an alphabetical list of births, produced from the Hawaii Birth Index database, containing the names of those issued Certificates of Hawaiian Birth from 1911 to 1971, for those who did not get a standard Birth certificate, at birth." The name Obama does not exist.

Beyond the lie, if Lingle disclosed Obama's birth hospital without his permission, she has committed a misdemeanor. If Obama gave permission for this public disclosure, then Hawaii no longer has a basis for maintaining the privacy of Obama's birth records.

Although the governor now claims she issued a news release stating Kapi'olani is Obama's birthplace, the actual release said no such thing, making no reference to Kapi'olani nor any other specific location of Obama's birth.

But Lingle's radio statement could add further confirmation that a long-form, hospital-generated "Certificate of Live Birth" still exists.

Ironically, the governor's pinpointing of the Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children as well as her health director's previous public statements on the matter statement are in apparent violation of Hawaii state law.

In two separate telephone interviews, Janice Okubo, the Health Department's public information officer, said that Hawaii law prohibited her from commenting on the birth records of any specific person.

Okubo cited Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 338-18, which pertains to "Disclosure of Records."

That section states regarding the release of vital statistics records, "The department shall not permit inspection of public health statistics records, or issue a certified copy of any such record or part thereof, unless it is satisfied that the applicant has a direct and tangible interest in the record."

Politifact actually has Okubo on the record denying that the electronic COLB image provided by the Obama campaign can be authenticated by her or by anyone at DHOH!

Hawaii has previously released Obama's birth date, and birth certificate number, which out of sequence with the Nordyke twins, born the day after Obama.

Remember, the COLB has only a "Filed" state and not an "Accepted" state.  Until it's accepted by the registrar it's nothing.

Hawaii also confirmed Obama’s "vital records" have been amended.

So, little by little, Hawaii violates their own rules by releasing selected bits of information, while refusing to release the original, hospital-produced birth certificate.

Jill T. Nagamine, Deputy Attorney General for the State of Hawaii, has made it clear that her office will not corroborate or back in any way the July 27, 2009 Statement of Dr. Chiyome Fukino, Director of the Hawaii Department of Health, which declared Obama Hawaiian-born and a "natural-born American citizen."

However, this changes nothing.  As long as Barack Hussein Obama Sr. is the father of Barack Hussein Obama II, Obama remains ineligible to serve as POTUS and CiC, and sits in the Oval Office as an usurper.

If only the person, whose birth certificate it is, can release the birth certificate, was it legal for Gov. Lingle to send her Health Director to examine the birth certificate?

Who was the attending doctor? Who were the nurses and other medical personnel involved? Why has no one come forward to say that they were present at the birth of the President? It couldn't have been common for half-white, half-black child to be born of a young white woman in Hawaii in 1961. That would have stuck in the memory.

Why has no one come forward who remembers Barack Obama at Columbia University. Wayne Root, the Libertarian Party VP candidate was a classmate of Obama's at Columbia and never saw him there. He went to a Columbia class reunion and couldn't find anyone, who remembered Obama at Columbia.

Obama is also hiding a zillion other documents dealing with his life history. It's not just the birth certificate.
