Lessons from the dud

Eventually even a stupid terrorist can get lucky. So why are so many people who think they're so smart so quick to dismiss the very dangers that threaten American lives?

Enter New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg, who became the poster politician for jumping to blame the wrong folks without cause.

Before the arrest of Faisal Shahzad, Bloomberg told CBS' Katie Couric, "If I had to guess 25 cents, this would be exactly that, somebody, homegrown, maybe a mentally deranged person or somebody with a political agenda that doesn't like the health care bill or something, it could be anything."

After the arrest of Shahzad, who was born in Pakistan, Bloomberg became a statesman. He warned about any backlash against Pakistanis or Muslims. "We will not tolerate any bias," quoth Bloomberg.

I won't be the last person to observe that Bloomberg had little problem with bias when he saw an opportunity to scapegoat a lone right-wing nut. He wised up later.

There is only so long your luck holds out.

Does anybody think Obama wants a terror attack, the emergency could be useful. Remember Wayne LaPierre making the point that BJ Clinton wanted a certain level of high crime to forward his gun control agenda. And then we had Waco, a gun control made for TV scam from the start.

This is the reason we have to clean house. At all levels of government, federal, state and local. Also, it is the reason we have to purge the pravdaesque news industry we now have in this country.

I have heard people say that Obama wants chaos, including the possibility of a terrorist attack. If things get bad enough, perhaps he will have an excuse to delay the next election. For our own good, you know. Um, yeah.

Has Bloomberg owned up to his wrongness on this?

Mayor Bloomberg is a multi-zillionaire. He has no interest in owning-up to his incorrect statements.
If he fails to secure any future elections, he will return to counting money full-time.

I find it surprising that the San Francisco Chronicle printed this about Blooming Idiot.

I had forgotten what party he was. I looked it up on Wikipedia. No wonder I forgot! He's been all three!

Democrat (until 2001)
Republican (2001–2007)
Independent (2007–present)
