I infer he was on a different list, not the “watch” list:
“Faisal Shahzad appeared on a Department of Homeland Security travel lookout list - Traveler Enforcement Compliance System (TECS) - between 1999 and 2008 because he brought approximately $80,000 cash or cash instruments into the United States.”
But I’m astonished that a Pakistani bringing that much CASH into the country wasn’t monitored a little more closely, especially when he returned to Pakistan twice in one year and apparently had financial problems that were trivially easy for the MSM to track down within a very short period following his arrest.
The federal government and all its agency are hog-tied by political correctness. The Muslims don’t get equal treatment; they get special treatment so that no one’s feelings might get hurt and so that the terrorist front group C.A.I.R. doesn’t scream and threaten lawsuits about “bias.”
