What's wrong with this article and the pol question is specificity! Let me be more blunt; when asked to illuminate which god they believe in things get very weird.

The proper politically incorrect question that needs to be asked is; 1) Do you believe in Jesus Christ?

2) Do you believe in the moon god?

3) Do you believe in the earth mother gaia?

4) Do you believe in some other divinity, or divinities?

Unless this standard is employed this survey is worthless, IMHO!

I have a very specific theological belief about who and what God is; however, the fact that this poll shows that 92 percent of Americans are Theists is a good thing. If you compare it with Europe, it is truly amazing. I can tell you that on America's college campuses, the Atheists are making a strong effort to undermine and destroy all belief in a supernatural God. For them, there is no god but evolution and Dawkins is its prophet. Evolution is no longer just a descriptive process, but is has become prescriptive.
