Yes, I agree. I think one of the reasons he's kept out of sight by his handlers, to the extent that they can manage it, is that this becomes glaringly apparently when he is involved in any sort of public exchange or even commentary.

The real reason he can't have press conferences is that people would probably be clamoring to have him removed from office on grounds of insanity after the first 15 minutes.
