I just cannot believe that a Japanese Coast guard was chased away by a vessel in its home waters.

Yes, and Japan will do what exactly? China is an industrialized country with 10x japan’s population, nukes, and continental resources at their disposal. Japan might have to make some accommodations to survive in this brave new world.
