A tale of two disasters
NY Post ^ | May 09, 2010 | Editorial

Remember when Democrats tried to bludgeon Team Bush as “incompetent” for its supposed bureaucratic foul-ups — its “missed” clues pre-9/11 and “bungled” response to Hurricane Katrina?

Well, gee — aren’t they quiet now, in the wake of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico?

Wednesday, the Washington Post reported that the Interior Department’s Minerals Management Service gave the rig that blew up and caused the spill, BP’s Deepwater Horizon, a “categorical exclusion” from the National Environmental Policy Act.

Expect that for the news media these days... no big deal, just normal operations. I have long ago given up on factual information, just scan, adjust for their bias, and try to find the actual story. It’s actually very easy when you look at it that way...(of course it is easier when you read several blogs that report the facts)...

I took this while flying down to Houston on Tuesday 4 May. You can see where the river banks should be as outlined by the snake of parallel trees. Please forgive my seatbelt reflection.
