Tea Party Victory...We no longer want ‘Compassionate Conservatives’ what a joke they are. They only grow big governments at a slightly slower speed than the Socialist Democrats. I want a real choice. Even if they lose. The Socialists will eventually be exposed. Give me a real choice between Communism and Capitalism.

I think this is crazy and stupid. It reminds me of the French Revolution where anyone who ever wore a wig was guillotined, even scholars and great French thinkers.

The Tea Partyers hated Bennett; they hate Rick Santorum; they hate Gov. Perry; they hate Carly Fiorina (God only knows why); now they even hate Sarah Palin.

I have been to four Tea Parties and supported them strongly.

But I will have to re-think my support - they’re becoming as vicious as Democrats. Their actions will only lead to Democrat victories.

I think I read somewhere that Bennett would have been 83 after this term.

Why do these people think they shopuld be allowed to die in office. Mr. Bennett needs to get along and get a life as a retired person. We have too many old time ,life time, politicians in office now. Especially old time RINO’s

Like I said earlier, it was a fair, direct, and serious “shot over the bow” to Orrin Hatch.

Whom, while often good on issues, has been wobbly on others, like amnesty and the DREAM Act, among other RINO things.

I went to Walmart today. I’m not a Walmart fan, because I hate big stores. But it’s the only place you can get Italian bread. I was in the store for a grand total of 30 minutes. In that time, I interacted with at least 40 amigas. Spoke not one word of English, pushing carts that had a bare minimum of two toddlers in them. And every single one of them was pregnant. I don’t know if they all used EBT cards because I didn’t follow them, yet I have my suspicions.

The people of Utah are mad. I’m in S. Utah, about 5-6 miles from the AZ border and less than 2 hrs from Las Vegas’ toxic economy.

Make no mistake. This move wasn’t intended to get Bob Bennett’s attention: It is intended to get Orrin Hatch’s attention.

De-mint would be the best choice to replace that old RINO.

For others, their vote was primarily about adherence to orthodoxy on fiscal issues, a unifying cause of the tea party movement. It didn't matter to them that Bennett favors gun rights, tougher immigration laws and even voted against President Bush's No Child Left Behind Act.

Tougher immigration laws? Oh really. The reporting on this Bennett story has been strange. They always mention that his vote for TARP was unpopular, but I have read several articles a not one mentions that he voted for amnesty.

Utah threw out Chris Cannon because of his pro-amnesty stances. It's as if the MSM does not want to attribute any of Bennett's downfall to his pro-amnesty votes.

The libs have pushed this fight.
They went over board with their socialist push and the pendulum is about to swing back hard the other way.
“moderate” pubbies and libs everywhere should beware cause like Bennett many are about to lose their “career”.
Oh yeah and about that white guilt vote that got obammy elected, well that guilt b.s. is over.

Republican Sen. Robert Bennett was one of the most powerful and likable members of the Senate, he diligently protected Utah’s interests from his post in GOP leadership and he funneled millions of dollars back to his state as an appropriator.

Yeah and who pays for that pork? Bennett also supported amnesty and large guest worker programs. He had a 64 ACU rating in 2008. Throw the bastards out.

I will not vote for ANY politician who is now in office. Get rid of every one. At the very least, it will cost the people who have bought and paid for our current crop of traitors a lot of money.

For Republicans who are measuring the drapes in anticipation of reclaiming power, Bennett’s loss should be sobering. If the anti-Washington and tea party winds keep blowing this strong, some of them could be measuring their own political graves.

The Republicans in greatest danger are the so-called "moderates" for whom "bipartisanship" means supporting the Reid-Pelosi ultra-left agenda. They are in greater danger in their primaries than they are in the general election.

Two kinds of Democrats are in trouble: Democrats of any stripe in Republican strongholds and Democrats in Democrat strongholds who haven't been sufficiently Marxist in their orientation.

What this means is, Democrats are going to get SHELLACKED across the board in November, and the new Congress will be more hardcore. That is, the remaining Democrats overall will be ideologically harder-left and ascendant Republicans overall will be ideologically harder-right.

I would love to see a congress that passed no laws!

Hell I would like to see one that removed stupid laws and regulations...........but I live in a fantasy world.

I really hate it when a elected official says " I passed this law"

Indiana, used to have a republican attorney general who ran for re-election on one topic..............I passed the no call phone list..

That was in his opinion his greatest accomplishment.

I’m in a dilemma over the Montana House of Representatives incumbent Denny Rehberg, he is a conservative, I like him BUT he voted “yes” to exclude the anointed ones to be excluded from the health care we will have forced on us. It really, really bothers me. There is a man, Mark French, that is setting up to run against him for the Republican seat. He’s a “Constitutional Republican” with conservative values I can support. Question is, is Rehberg’s yes vote on exclusion from participation in the forced government health care a reason to vote out a consistently conservative representative? I did write to Rehberg about this, he always answers letters, no answer on this one though. Anyone have thoughts on this?

It is good to see Bob Bennett go. Bennett was your typical “George W.Bush” Republican. We need those like we need a hole in the head.

RIGHT. Just an old CON-MAN politician who needed to go graze in the grass.

Bennett was/is an old-time bum.

This fall, in all elections between a Democrat, a Republican, and an eggplant - bet on the eggplant.

I don't think the people's disgust with Democrats is going to help the Republicans as much as many are saying - people hate them, too.

The eggplant Governor of Florida has a very good chance, IMO.
