As a long time Libertarian I am amazed more people do not realize what is going on. I have watched for 30 years as people fall for the Good Cop Bad Cop routine.

So instead they should fall for the “No Cop” Anarchist dogma of the Libertarians?

Spending all your time screaming “Vote for me just because I’m not them” is hardly a serious campaign

Try toning down your emotional angst and reading it with an open mind.

Long on nice sounding rhetoric and slogans but rather short of any "here is how I would do this" concrete examples of how he would achieve his agenda items

Slogans are not solutions. “I'm for the fair tax” Great, how you going to get it implemented?

Oh but that right, even if by some miracle a Libertine got elected, he will be a single lone voice in Congress who, like Ron Paul, can make bombastic speech but actually accomplish nothing.

But I guess the Freeper Purists think it is better to mindlessly cling to their emotion based 100%er dogmas and be completely political irrelevant then actually ever DO anything that makes a difference politically.

I thought “Conservatives” were the ones who THOUGHT, not just felt, their political principals,. Apparently that is not so.

Sorry but yours are the sort of simplistic dogmas dreamed up by those who have never ever bothered to actually be involved in the process.

It is the sort of rationalization dreamed up by those too lazy, or too ignorant, to bother learning even the most basic facts about how our Constitutional Republic works.

They use this dogma of "no one is pure enough for me: as an excuse to absolve their failure to get off their butts and participate in a meaningful way in the political process. Since the process is not perfect, they are excuse to sit on their asses bitching instead of getting involved.

Only God is perfect, nothing made by men ever will be. Sitting around waiting for the perfect is a gutless excuse for inaction, not a serious program for political success.

80% of something is way better then 100% of nothing as any adult rational assessment of what has happened in this country since the Democrats took over Congress in Jan 2007 would tell you.

Rather then dreaming up absurd nonsensical purist doctrines that are NEVER going to happen, people should be getting off their asses and working hard to send those on OUR side in DC reinforcements.
