After a while, Obama get a Teflon coating because people tune you out.

Oh puh-leeze. Obama already makes Slick Willie seem like he was covered in glue. The point is that Obama suggests he's "Everyman" with his claims, and the mediabots will accept it as the One's cute little quirk and make no issue of his faked or real ignorance like they would if it were Bush (or any republican).

The point is than an iPod, as opposed to food, is a niche item. Music lovers, of all ages, nationalities, races, colors, creeds, across the political spectrum and rich, poor or middle class, swear by iPods. For those who get all the music they need on their car radio, iPods are just another plastic dust collector.

It's like riduculing somebody for either (loving / hating) anchovies on their pizza.

The point is that, when you ridicule an opponent and half of your target audience, either at a Communist Party, USA strategy session or at a Tea Party rally thinks, "Hey! Wait a minute. I represent that remark!", you are hurting yourself, not your opponent.

My iPod, (I was given one for my birthday two years ago) is a dust collector.

What does that say about my "Everyman" status, my politics, my finances or my belief system?

Absolutely nothing.
