Interestingly, in 1912 when TR ran as the Bull Moose candidate, Utah was one of only two states (the other being either Maine or Vermont; I can't remember which one) that went for William Howard Taft.

You're right; TR and FDR were a lot alike (though most people don't seem to notice).
