Which is more newsworthy: hearsay accounts of racial slurs unsupported by video evidence of the alleged incident, or video of a protester calling for violent revolution against the federal government, the imposition of socialism, and the annexation of the Southwestern states for Mexico?
If you chose the latter, you're probably not a journalist of the self-proclaimed "mainstream" variety. The legacy media has been largely silent on video of Los Angles schoolteacher at a La Raza protest of the recently-passed Arizona immigration law literally calling for the violent overthrow of the United States government.
"There's 40 million potential revolutionaries north of the border, inside the belly of the beast," Los Angeles high school history teacher Ron Gochez told a frenzied crowd, referring to the 40 million Latin Americans in the United States. He went on to claim that teaching or writing a book "is not part of the movement," and that his followers needed to go a step further -- to literal revolution (video embedded below the fold - h/t Jawa Report).

I saw some scary clips of violent Hispanic high school students in California. They were outraged that other students displayed the American flag.
Not only is the SRM aligned with this guy, they'd never touch that third-rail of criticism. They don't want their families taken out by ZETA operatives, just like the fear they have about drawing a fatwa from a pissed-off muzzie imam. In their minds, better to assail a more benign presence, like the Tea Partiers.

Yup - the selective reporting has a lot to do with fear. Fear of being labelled racist and Fear of losing out on their connections within the democrat party are the two main drivers but there is also fear of being physically attacked.
La Raza and Imams have one thing in common: They will be violent if angered. The TEA party has not proven itself violent and it is seen as “politically incorrect” when compared to how the country has been indoctrinated over the least few decades. That is why the media see it as a safer target.
Imagine the media feting a Grand Wizard of the KKK and talking his ravings seriously.
This is why no thinking person takes the chattering classes seriously. They’re morons, dangerous morons.
Had the media been honest we’d have avoided decades of misery, but they lie for their cause.
