Former New Jersey Gov. Christine Todd Whitman, co-chair of the Republican Leadership Council, said Monday that GOP candidates in the current election cycle must reject the "the party of no" profile and the idea that "compromise is a dirty word" -- and endorsed former Rep. Tom Campbell in California's hotly contested GOP U.S. Senate race.
"We feel he is the candidate which, besides being able to win in the fall...also brings those kinds of characteristics to play to the office that will make him a very effective Senator, and one that can start to solve problems,'' Whitman said in a visit to The Chronicle today. "He's not going to be so partisan that he will refuse to talk to people on the other side of the aisle. That's not the way he works."

LOL I don’t know where you all are finding these photos but these are gems
Now that should cinch the election for Campbell
Campbell is not a person but a thing? I suspected that might be the case.
one socialist endorsing another socialist!
Hell, a lot of the people on the "other side of the aisle" are to the right of him!
He is the people on the other side of the aisle.
This is a case of "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" right?
Like anyone cares.
Christine Todd Whitman’s organization, IMP-PAC (It’s MY party! PAC) actively seeks the annaihilation of conservatives from the Republican party.
"In any compromise between good and evil, it is only evil that can profit."

My own US Senators from my state are Inhofe and Coburn and they're definitely worthy of the name "conservative" ... so they know who is the one they want as a fellow conservative in the Senate with them.

Fellow Conservatives:
This November, California will have an opportunity to call Barbara Boxer home and send a new conservative leader to the United States Senate. That new leader is Carly Fiorina. We are proud to endorse her as a fellow conservative who has real-¬‐world business experience and the guts and moxie to take on Barbara Boxer and win.
Carly is not a Washington insider. She is a proven business leader who understands the economy and advocates a strong national defense. And, she is a tough fiscal and social conservative who:
Democrats fear Carly more than any other candidate in the Republican primary. Thats why Barbara Boxer has been using Carlys name in fundraising letters for nearly two years, while the California Democratic Party employs two full-time staffers to follow Carly around the state, and why numerous union-funded groups have launched independent expenditure efforts attacking her.
Carly Fiorina worked her way through undergraduate and graduate school, majoring in medieval history at Stanford University and earning two graduate business degrees from the University of Maryland and MIT. A self-made woman, Carly started her business career as a secretary and went on to become the first and, to date, the only woman to lead a Fortune 20 company, serving as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Hewlett-Packard Company. Most recently, Carly served on the Defense Business Board advising the U.S. Secretary of Defense on overall management of the department and as Director of Business Executives for National Security.
As conservative leaders in the United States Senate, we know you can count on the principled leadership of Carly Fiorina. We are confident that she will stand with us and stand up for you against the liberal special interests that have kept Barbara Boxer in Washington for almost 28 years.
This is a golden opportunity for the people of the Golden State to come together to elect Carly to represent them in the United States Senate. Please join us in supporting Carlys campaign.
Sincerely,
TOM COBURN, M.D.
U.S. Senator (R-OK)

Campbell in 1992 made abortion the center stage of his campaign. In the 1992 election, Campbells TV ad ran with the following caption: For choice, for jobs, for U.S. Senate. In another ad, he said, Im pro-choice and one of the most conservative members of Congress when it comes to spending. In a Republican debate, he described his abortion views, as good for voters looking for someone who is willing to break with the party line from time to time. (Gerry Braun, Herschensohn Wont Pledge to Back GOP Pick; Senate Opponents Renew Acrimony in Last Debate, San Diego Union Tribune, June 1, 1992.)
Herschensohn, for his part, described Campbell exactly as he is during that debate: I dont believe a Republican has to pass a litmus test, (but) I feel that Tom Campbell is so far away from the Republican umbrella that it would be easier to run against a Democrat. . .
Sarah has been taking heat for her Carly endorsement and yes Carly is far from what most of us would want but that poll you posted shows why she did what she did. I took heat for saying that Campbell can win and he can draw a lot of Indies who are tired of Boxer but won’t go full bore Conservative.
Carly aso has the means to make it a race and if people want to vote idealistically then vote your conscience and I can’t fault that but the reality is that this is a 2 person race to face Boxer.
LOL, thanks, Christie!
This endorsement should be the kiss of death for that liberal scumbag Campbell.
Well, hell, let's just return the favor!
The Tea Party is rapidly turning into the RiNO Safari Posse!
"Bring me back the horn of Christie Whitman!!!"
So why is DeVore supposed to throw in the towel and shut social conservatives out 100%, so they can feel okay about staying home for the general?
Yeah, it's always about "settling", for the conservatives, isn't it? It's always about the RiNO's, and well, too bad, but thanks for coming.
If you're not willing to vote for conservatives in the primary ....... then just when did you think you're supposed to get a chance to have a say about anything?
Put another way, how many of Fiorina's votes are people who listen to RiNO lies and believe them?
That's the survey that really needs to be taken.
It's a long-term thing. I will vote for Fiorina today to have the possibility of voting for someone with DeVore's perspective 6 years from now, and I hope it would in fact be DeVore.
