“Mother May I?” Masculinity
The Spearhead ^ | January 6, 2010 | Jack Donovan

Posted on 05/10/2010 11:57:38 PM PDT by Christian Cage

Modern women balk at any suggestion that men should be able to tell women how to behave. Many believe that a woman should be able to do whatever she likes without worrying “what women are supposed to do.”

When feminists talk to men, they pretend to offer the same sort of freedom from social expectations attached to one’s sex. But this talk of freedom is always a lie. This new, “free” model of manhood approved by feminists must, after all, serve the interests of feminism. Many traditionally masculine behaviors and ideas are clearly “off limits.” So, while the new woman does whatever she wants and explores her world unfettered, the feminist male is carefully restricted and monitored for signs of disobedience or treachery.

He’s a rhinestone collared lapdog with a humiliating barrette in his hair, free to run in a yard bordered by an electric fence.

At best, he’s allowed the manly privileges of opening jars and taking out the garbage.

The pro-feminist male is a wretched, guilt-ridden creature who must at every turn make certain he is not impeding the progress of women in any way. He willingly accepts guilt for crimes against women he never committed, perpetrated by men he has never met.

This opinion piece describes how the feminist campaigns to demoralize men have manifested themselves in destructive ways. The Feminist world-view is shared by many of our so-called 'leaders' in DC.

Although the author makes some salient points...

It’s a little too easy for me, having little use for women and few reasons to compromise with them, to tell other men what I think they should do.

...I'm thinking that he's just a little bit too deep into the He-Man Woman Haters Club. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

...I'm thinking that he's just a little bit too deep into the He-Man Woman Haters Club. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Men and boys have been treated so badly in America for the past 40 years that no one should be surprised that woman-hating runs deep in American males. The mother of a 9-year-old boy decides to divorce his dad because she's unhappy. Boy is now stuck with visiting his father every other weekend and maybe one night a week in a little run-down apartment (all dad can afford because the [anti]family law courts have him pay huge for child support).

If by the age of 15 the boy is getting pretty mouthy and needs his butt kicked figuratively and perhaps literally and dad does this as any good dad understands is his duty, then the courts can come in and punish the dad, make him apologize to the kid and the mom, and prove to the kid that mom's authority is stronger than dad's, not only in punishment but in humiliation.

The 15-year-old boy is in the short run gratified because mommy runs in to rescue him when dad rightly gives him a much-needed kick in the ass, but in the long run the boy realizes that this is all very screwed ... what promise is there ahead for HIM in the roles of father and husband?

Is there any wonder that teen boys in America today commit suicide at rates higher than any other group?

Damn right there area lot of woman haters in America. I can't blame them.

The definitive quote from this opinion piece is:

The only “freedom” that feminism offers men is the freedom to do exactly what women want him to do. The freedom to serve.

You've got it. While there are some good points to this piece, I think it basically overstates the problem. Men who simply "do what they will" are a problem. A woman is a civilizing influence and ought to say "Don't do this; Why don't you do that?" I see that as beneficial and not restrictive.

But a feminist who demands that a woman adhere to her every whim is a curse. The man is the ultimate leader of the family.

Women already got one p*ssy; they don’t need - and most don’t want - another, whatever they may say to the contrary notwithstanding.

I didn't. Still single and I never have to listen to a honeydew list.

Discussion comments at your linked article by posters on TOS are interesting .... notice the testosterone-soaked poster who's waiting on a court date and looking at possible jail sentence (justifying his choices, saying he knew she was crazy).

Men are getting harder to find, that’s for sure. I am single and see a field stocked with professionals, mostly academics, who wouldn’t say boo at a Halloween party for fear of offending. Their minds are open, some wide open, some flung right off the hinges. They can’t drive a stick. There are Y chromosomes out there who actually depilate their chests — and to look at them I’m fairly sure they can’t swim at all.
I think I’ll go hang out at the range today.
OTOH, most of those guys are already married. :(
