I can see this eviscerating our ability to carry out the orders of the Commander in Chief. Not sure that’s a completely bad idea.

Would this mean that, for instance, our military people serving in nations under Sharia law would have to convert to Islam? Our women soldiers have to wear burkas? Not be allowed to drive or to be in the presence of a man to whom they aren’t married? Etc? Does sharia consider the mere act of being Christian a “crime against humanity”? If they did, would only Muslim soldiers and leadership be allowed to enter those countries?

Even more sobering, if somebody *claimed* that a Quran was desecrated in some way, would the government (in Iran, Qatar, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, etc) conduct the “investigation”, “law enforcement” and “trial” however they wanted?

These UN things are such a crock because you end up with Iran deciding how women should be treated worldwide or with Chavez deciding whether the US has a good enough human rights record. Communists and Islamists lie. It’s part of their creed. They will always agree to whatever anybody asks and demand that the US do the same. But the US is the only one that ever intends to keep its promises. It’s a sucker’s game.

I wish we’d just get out of the UN once and for all.
