Too funny. Actualy my mom took the dials off so that we could only watch her “approved” channel - one of two that were available when TV first came into our house. We unplugged it to turn off and plugged it in to turn it on. Wonder we all turned out so well.
Those new-fangled digital signals get to your house the same way as the old analog ones...over-the-air (OTA). Rabbit ears, foil and coat hangers work the same ‘ol way!
Thanks Drago. Good to know. It should have been obvious... but I’ll admit I never thought of it that way. I thought there was a special tuner involved. Evidently the tuner is much the same, but the decoding is different.
