What are the options? Dogpile.com? They helped vets bring some doggies back from Afghan or Iran.

Well, there are two alternatives, but one will, I think, let cookies through to your computer so Google can still track you.

An easy, free way to get Google is from “HideMyAss.com”’s proxy service. But this is where cookies may still come through, I believe.

Another is to use IXQuick, but that scours Live.com and Yahoo, among others. But IXQuick never passes your IP to those engines and erases everything immediately. Also, it’s SSL mode for searching and lets you use a proxy link on search results so that you don’t exit the protection of IXQuick’s security.

Google, frankly, has better results most all the time, but IXQuick can be configured as your default search option, complete with other personalized settings from there.

Give either a try.
