Democrats and assorted commentators are professing to be alarmed about the defeat on the weekend of three-term Utah Republican Senator Bob Bennett at a GOP nominating convention. They say it signals the triumph of the tea party and other allegedly uncouth sorts, which is said to be bad for bipartisanship and other Beltway bromides.

The Washington political and media classes continue to have a hard time comprehending the revolt in the provinces and want to portray it as radical.

The Wall Street Journal doesn't want to discuss how Bennett's voting for Amnesty in 2007 worked against him as well.

The Democrats are always expecting the right to do all the work of being “bipartisan”. It never seems to be a problem when some extreme-LEFT wacko gets elected; that’s a “mandate” (NO, Barack, not you, go back to work). Let the left carry the “bipartisan” water for a change and agree to every idea conservatives come up with, every law they want to repeal, every department they want to abolish, or risk getting called “partisan”.

All this (and the results of the election just held by our British Cousins) leads one to the inescapable questions:

Will some congressional Dems start to bolt, or will they cheerfully allow themselves to be forced into the (metaphoric) wood chipper?

And...

Will one or more DEMS (think Bayh or Clinton ((or McCain)) here) run against Obama in the 2012 primary?

.

Mine are Cardin and Troll Mikulski, Good luck there too.

They say that Bennett not getting the nod is bad for Bipartisanship. Who wants bupartisanship? We have seen what the Democrats want and we dont want it. We dont want republicans who go along with them.

When Republicans regain power ,I want the Republicans to be just as snotty as the Democrats have been , and I want whoever is Speaker of the House to assign Pelosi a office in the basement next to the coke machine . Tell her to take her requests for bipartisanship and shove them where the sun dont shine, just as she has done to Republicans.

Thanks I did.

FYI: you may phone the United States Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121. A switchboard operator will connect you directly with the Senate office you request.

Just called this # and requested Lieberman's office> I got right through and left a message. Jam their voice mail and shut the switchboards down

Didn't we do this for the bailout legislation and the Obamacare legislation????

A lot of good that did us. I might as well talk to my neighbors cat.

When you know what your senators will do no matter how many calls come into their offices ... whats the point.

It appears that voting no longer works in America.

The word bipartisanship has been made onerous and ugly by Dems and RINOs like McCain.

I hate bipartisanship. I do not want any part of bi. part. i. san. ship!

The Dems are changing the language as they change the culture. Up s down and down is sideways.
