LAYTON, Utah (AP) - The body of a boy who matches the description of a missing 4-year-old child has been found in a Utah canyon and his mother and stepfather are in custody, police said Tuesday.
Layton police said Ethan Stacy's stepfather, Nathan Sloop, 31, will be charged with aggravated homicide. His mother, Stephanie Sloop, 27, will be charged with felony child abuse. Both will face obstruction of justice and desecration of corpse charges.
The search for Ethan started Tuesday after police said the boy's mother had reported him missing, saying she has last seen him in bed at their Layton apartment Monday night. Officials said she told them that the boy had wandered away five of the last 10 nights.

Awful, awful thing. The poor father.
Step father. Boyfriends and step fathers (and sometimes girlfriends and step mothers) are a child’s worst nightmear.
I agree. There are too many stories like that.
IF the mother and stepfather did this to this little boy, his biological father should be allowed to torture them and then throw them down a canyon. No bullcrap trials.

Mothers will kill to protect their children; breeders have no problem killing their children.
Mothers commit more abuse and nelect than dads.
For all the bad rap dads get, they’re the safest person for a child to be with.
There is no punishment available to the state of Utah that will satisfy in this case.Death by lethal injection,hanging,firing squad,all fall short of what’s needed here.
NOT dads...STEP dads and boyfriends.

Step-dads, mothers and mother’s boyfriends commit more child neglect and abuse than dads.
Dads are the safest people to put kids with.
Although you have to take into consideration that mothers are less likely to walk away from their children making the odds in favor of them being the most frequent abuser. If more dads were involved, who knows what those stats would say. ;)
What in the world does a 4 year old do to be murdered for? I can’t understand.
