We do not pay our county fee for trash pick up. We personally take it to the landfill and/or recycling center.

Whoever heard of paying for something?

Everything should be free, free, free...

and there should be competing services too.

We do the same. The county implemented a "landfill tag" needed for access - just to keep folks from other counties from dumping their stuff here. $1.50 per year.

Then $5 per year.

Then $35 per year

Then $50 per year. That's where we are now.

Recycling center requires no ID or anything. We have to show our drivers license at the landfill. We pay nothing, except our gas, which is little. What county are you in that charges that much? Make it an election issue...
