Of course Elena Kagan is unqualified for the job of Supreme Court justice. So what? Barack Obama isnt remotely qualified for his job either. What is all the commotion about? If experience and intellect were relevant, we would never have gotten ourselves saddled with Sotomayor who would have been fully self actualized presiding over municipal traffic court.
Kagan has had a sort of real job as Dean of Harvard Law School which means she knows a thing or two about fund raising, but nothing about the Consitution. Michelle Malkin reminds us of Kagans shortcomings:
"-Dean Kagan has taken positions that are disturbingly out of the mainstream. For example, driven by her view that the dont ask; dont tell policy adopted by a Democrat Congress and President Clinton is a profound wronga moral injustice of the first order, she argued that it violates the First Amendment for the United States to withhold funds from colleges that ban the military from recruiting on campus. The Supreme Court unanimously rejected this view.
-It is also unclear that a Justice Kagan would be an adequately independent check on executive excesses. She has argued in favor of greatly enhanced presidential control over the bureaucracy, which is concerning in light of President Obamas unprecedented centralization of power in the White House."
Plucking dullards from obscurity and elevating them to high office is a pretty good strategy if your goal is to ensure blind obedience. Just ask George Soros.
Well, she’s more of a man than he is.
My thoughts exactly, she is more qualified as a man.
Ouch!
Why does it shock anyone that an airhead would appoint another airhead?
As the great El Rushbo says “He’s (Obama) the most unqualified man in any room he enters”.
I would not want to arm wrestle her/it. The pain of losing to a person of nonspecific gender would be too much to bear.
She will do her best to help Obama with his plan of centralization of power in the White House.
Why does everyone refer to Kagan as “her”? It is clear that this is Kevin James in disguise.
“... Elena Kagan is unqualified for the job of Supreme Court justice. So what? Barack Obama isnt remotely qualified for his job either.”
The guy who empties the waste basket here is more qualified for the Presidency than “O”!
Ohmigod Michelle Malkin is brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Since Obama wants to remove “Don’t ask, don’t tell” from the military, is it not fitting for the Supreme Court nominees? After all, 85% of the American people are straight. They have a right to know who is being nominated.
Rush is right ;-) And what a shame McCain wasn’t smart enough to recognize and use this fact. He could potentially have beaten Obama purely on the basis of experience if he’d realized how strong an issue it is, and had been smart enough to unleash Palin to attack BO on it.
The only thing Obama is experienced in is goofing off, smoking dope, and hanging out with unsavory characters.
Well who in hell ISN’T??!!!
C. Northcote Parkinson, from “Parkinson’s Law”,
“If the head of a business organization is second rate, he will see to it that his immediate staff is third rate, and they in turn will see to it that their subordinates are all fourth rate. There will soon be an actual competition in stupidity, people pretending to be even more brainless than they are.”
Based on Obama and his entire administration anything he does, any person he selects or appoints to anything has me believing there actually is an alternative universe where our opposites exist.
A universe where right is wrong and wrong is right, up is down and down is up and the worm hole that connects us has some how opened up and our opposites (liberals) are filing through en masse.
On the other hand liberals & progressives could be completely nuts in this universe and they are what they are.
Onto the 7th or 8th cup of coffee...
Obama’s actions are very telling.....
Good analysis of Obama and his picks...look at them all including Biden.....He’s two thoughts away from a loony bin.
My experience is that competition in brainlessness is a futile endeavor. For every dumb think that a smart person can think of to do, a dumb person can think of something even dumber. It must have to do with the fact that self-preservation instincts prevent certain really dumb impulses from reaching consciousness in the smart person.
That line was not from Malkin, it was from the author of the posted article, Joy Tiz.
