Mosque madness at Ground Zero
New York Post ^ | 5/13/10 | Andrea Peyser

Posted on 05/13/2010 1:53:24 PM PDT by Nachum

A mosque rises over Ground Zero. And fed-up New Yorkers are crying, "No!"

A chorus of critics -- from neighbors to those who lost loved ones on 9/11 to me -- feel as if they've received a swift kick in the teeth.

Plans are under way for a Muslim house of worship, topped by a 13-story cultural center with a swimming pool, in a building damaged by the fuselage of a jet flown by extremists into the World Trade Center.

If you build it, We will come.

And We will tear it down and then burn the remains.

Would it be wrong to ask where Timothy McVeigh is when you need him?

A monument to Islamic victory.

Wearing U.S. Flag shirts on high school campuses.

Insensitive

Placing a Mosque where it can cast a shadow on the site where Islamic adherents killed 3,000 of us, almost killed over 50,000 of us, and took out trillions of our infrastructure...

Not Insensitive

And they wonder why we’re on the verge of replacing every elected official in Washington, D.C., and ready to pitch the Democrat and Republican parties into the Potomac.

Would not be the first time the residents of a place ripped down a mosque with their bare hands....

Have they continued on with the plans in PA for that memorial that had “crescent” designs in the layout?

Would it be wrong to ask where Timothy McVeigh is when you need him?

I understand the sentiment.
But McVeigh might not be the best choice...I won’t be totally
suprised if he, via Terry Nichols and his trips to The Phillipines,
was a pawn of Islamics.

Myself, when confronted with something like this current outrage will
say “Where’s a Daisy Cutter when you need it?”

I remember when I stumbled across an account of a British forward
observer who saw a Daisy Cutter/BLU-82 dropped in the first Gulf War.
The observer frantically communicated to his commander
“Sir, the Yanks have nuked Iraq!”.

And divert the Potomac (in place of the Tiber) to clean out the stables.

Hmmm, would the stables thus be cleaner? I’m still thinking...

“The project is a collaboration between the American Society for Muslim Advancement and the Cordoba Initiative.”

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is Chairman of Cordoba Initiative, having founded the organization in 2004.

The building – vacant since that fateful day when time stood still as millions of Americans grieved the loss of loved ones, friends, family members, co-workers and strangers – was purchased in July by real-estate company Soho Properties, a business run by Muslims.

Rauf was an investor in that transaction.

“Only in New York City is this possible,” Daisy Khan, executive director of the American Society for Muslim Advancement, or ASMA, told the magazine. Khan is the wife of Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, founder of ASMA.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rauf was invited to speak in Sydney, Australia, by Premier Bob Carr in 2004. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, he said the U.S. and the West must acknowledge the harm they’ve done to Muslims before terrorism can end.
He said the West must understand the terrorists’ point of view – and he blamed Christians for starting mass attacks on civilians.
“The Islamic method of waging war is not to kill innocent civilians. But it was Christians in World War II who bombed civilians in Dresden and Hiroshima, neither of which were military targets,” he said.
~~~~~~~~~~

An interviewer’s comment & Rauf’s reply:

It’s interesting that you call America a sharia-compliant state.

It really means there’s a religious commandment to build the right society, to have a sense of social justice and a social safety net, to have laws that take care of human beings, that aren’t prejudiced against people.

While it isn’t directly addressed, this seams like another instance where new Citizens or even guests, have decided they won’t live in harmony with the long term citizens here.

And that is grounds to be sent back where they can live in harmony with the indigenous population.

It’s not our duty to cure the ills of the world’s rejects.

News of plans to build this mosque have been around for quite a while. I’m not sure when it was first mentioned, but I think a year or two ago. I certainly agree that it should never have been permitted.

“have decided they won’t live in harmony with the long term citizens here.”

The problem is... like the BHO regime, these people speak with forked tongue-— cultivating a public image and saying one thing in public, while secretly holding on to beliefs and plans entirely contradictory to what they profess in public.

I have profile after profile after profile of this. Here is just one glaring example:

Look at this thread article on FETHULLAH GULEN by a terrorism expert and then look at my post #42 in the same thread to see what a polished global brand name he has become:

It has been...but odd thing is, they appear to have launched a PR campaign right after the Shahzad NYC-bombing attempt. One would wonder why they wanted to draw attention to themselves at that particular time.
