When we stressed up Westerners try and imagine Heaven on Earth, our thoughts often wander to parts of the World like Provence and Tuscany.
Nothing wrong with that. Everyone ought to experience these parts of the planet once in their lifetime.
But there is more to life than stone pines and slurring locals who refuse to speak proper Italian.
If you have the money and don't mind travelling back in time, you might enjoy this part of southern Sweden that isn't especially Swedish:

Österlen is a part of Scandinavia that few people know of. Even over here in the Nordic countries.
I consider it one of the best places in Europe to cruise around in, driving a nice car (like my 200 hp Volvo V70!).

You don’t have to go to Europe to find Heaven. It is here in America too. A number of other places here too. This place just has that great John Denver song to remind us.

Heaven is where people share the good parts of life and try and act like Jesus wanted us to. Life is not all rosy, like we all know, but we could try.
America is a marvel and you are most welcome over here.
Forget about Chirac. Believe it or not, many Europeans have a positive attitude towards the US and many of us are extremely tired of Socialism.
And as you leave Tuscany to a higher lever toward Heaven, you will pass directly through Maui Hawaii. Then you will know that you only have one more step to go.
I was thinking Kauai instead of Maui.
Kauai people come to Maui for vacation. LOL
