I'd be surprised if Savage stayed mad with Kuhner especially since some here feel Kuhner is the biggest A$$-kisser of Savage the world has ever known. Kuhner always gives Savage his due on his own morning show now, so to me it appears Savage is looking for an enemy where they is none.

Not sure why the jealousy over a title that was not originated by Savage alone. Maybe now that Kuhner has his own show, Savage sees him differently, another competitor, or maybe Savage has a point, who knows? Who cares but Savage?

I thought Kuhner the best fill-in host that Savage had, so if Savage cans him now, so what, Kuhner has his own show and is looking to go syndication with it, so I can listen to Kuhner now without Savage's help thanks to the initial heads up from fellow and rarely posting infidel TBP. BTW Kuhner has never plugged his own show when filling in for Savage.

Nevertheless I emailed this thread to Kuhner so we'll see how it all works out. Of course in Savage's world everyone in his business is always out to undermine him anyway but human nature as it is, one can always find fault with a friend if one really wants to. This is one bridge that Savage need not burn.

Now that I’m not in reporting mode, I’ll add my observations and commentary.

I’d also be surprised if Doc was really angered. It’s a back handed way of thanking the author for relaying the message from the man who says “I’m just happy the message gets advance. I don’t really care who gets the credit. grrrrr.” It’s a curmudgeonly recognition of ones own untouchable status. I recommend you envision a grin after hearing a rant like the one I transcribed.

Oh yes, Kuhner has indeed played the sycophant on every show he’s ever substitute hosted for the Doc. Unlike you, I don’t like listening to Kuhner, and THAT was the primary reason.

Oh, this wasn’t the first time that the Doc grumbled at one of his substitute hosts. Wasn’t it last month that Andrew Breitbart subbed, and I personally thought he had the most uniquely excellent hours I’d ever heard by a sub host. Well, you may or may not recall, but I did make note of it. Let me search. ah http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2487827/posts?page=15#15 I wrote “I fear Doc will never again allow Andrew Breitbart in as stand-in host.”

Several of you asked me why, and I demurred in my answer. Well, I’ll tell you now that it was because the Doc was grumbling a little less obviously than he was today. It sounded like he was jealous. Sounded like. Art.

Well, now that he’s done it more obviously with Kuhner, I’m reassessing my earlier reading of the Doc’s “performance.” Both with Kuhner and Breitbart, I view it as Doc’s form of back-handed compliment. I’m guessing Breitbart as well as Kuhner are still on good terms with our curmudgeon.

As William says in his post, Savage has made himself a target. Well, I think the Doc really doesn’t want anyone else endangered because of their friendship with him. Where the Doc is going and what he has to do is too important for him to also have worry about the safety of his friends. He does what he can to keep his family out of the spot light and he worries about them already. Why would he also want to worry about friends who appear in public in their own realm?

Look at what happened in Sweden to Lars Vilks. See the police muted response and few arrests. See the University’s cowardly subsequent actions, and you can understand very well. This is the reality of talking where allegedly we still have a right to speak our opinions.

Statists don’t like being contradicted, and they can choose to protect you or not protect you from others who alsp don’t like being contradicted. “Nice business you got there feller. Would be a shame were anything to happen to it — or yourself, or your associates.”

This is one of the reasons I’ve been redefining PC here when the opportunity presents itself by crossing out the words Politically Correct and replacing it with Politically Cowered. It’s the truth my friends.

I know I’ve made breakthrough when the Doc starts using the words Politically Cowered and not giving me any credit. LOL
