I have given birth FIVE times, all in the SAME hospital over a period of 13 years.
I had ‘roommates’ (3 times) and private rooms the other two.
I don’t really remember any of the roomies; I remember I was thrilled to hold my babies. Everything else is quite foggy; even w/o the fog of anesthetic wearing off. Sleep deprivation, pain, fluid loss, homones plummeting do affect new moms immediately after birth. I do remember one of the nurses...but only because she is my neighbor!
I am in my mid forties. My last delivery was 13 years ago. Based on my experiences I would (seriously) question the memories of the well intentioned Mrs. Nordyke (who is almost twice my age).
Well intentioned Mrs. Nordyke? I don’t think so, she’s coached by the 0-team, reading a script.
She and her quoted daughter are slobbering groupies.
Mrs. Nordyke worked at the East West Center; ‘nuff said.
