Our police response time is about 30 minutes. One had better have something better than a loud scream.
It wouldn’t do any good for me to scream, unless I could manage to get my voice loud enough or had the right air conditions to carry my screams a fair distance. I do have a deal with my elderly neighbors for them to do SOS honks on their car horn if they need me, but that is if they need medical type help. They have weapons for intruder situations.
