>>>To then make the leap in a vanity that he could be The Next Reagan defies logic, reason and maybe even gravity

I was talking about the panic he is causing in the Republican establishment. I never said that his beliefs are exactly like Reagan’s. If you are old enough to remember the 1976 Republican Presidential Primary, then you will know what I am talking about.

Rand Paul is scaring the establishment because he want to cut the federal budget to the bone, leaving money only for national defense and a few other federal functions. Many federal departments will be eliminated. He wants to audit the Federal Reserve, something that has never happened in American history. Not even Reagan attempted that.

Even that is lame, this is nothing on the scale of the massive national battle of the Reagan versus Rockefeller branches of the GOP wars of the 1970s, or the current national battle between the Palin (Reagan) versus Romney (Rockefeller) branches of the GOP for power.

There is a mini version of the war being fought out in Kentucky, but the scale is vastly different, that micro war shows up in a lot of places this cycle, Kentucky is not the only race where it is demonstrated.
