Devore was damn near invisible until that endorsement got him hot enough to speak out. We’ve had lots of so-called conservatives in California That couldn’t seem to say sh!t if they had a mouthful. Even Bob Dornan got tongue tied when it came time to spill the beans on Gingrich arranging funding for Sanchez.
One of the problems with conservatives, and I know of what I speak, is that we tend not to want to move unless we forced to do so. When the Progressives of the nineteeth century started labeling their opponents as reactionaries, they weren’t far off. It still takes a palpable threat to get us off the dime.
