The high discomfort level surrounding the issue became clear before most campaigns even began to take shape this year. Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), for one, awkwardly sought to distance himself from TARP in February, when he told his local paper that Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke misled him about how the money would be spent.
The former Republican presidential nominee, who famously suspended his campaign to address the financial crisis, asserted that he believed the program’s aim was to avert the housing meltdown.
Former Rep. J.D. Hayworth, who is now waging a vigorous primary challenge from the right, pounced on McCain’s comments. So did Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), who called McCain “cowardly” for “just trying to reinvent history.”

I believe that they are not going to respond to you for two reasons. One, there is no adequate response, the lady is flat wrong on this. Two, you come off as pissed and hateful and spoiling for a fight.....I don’t have a dog in this fight but it seems to me that it would be more fun to let you stew in your anger.
