The Democrats increased the child tax credit from $1000 to $1500 in the stimulas bill. The marriage penalty was removed with the Bush tax cuts. No one should get welfare for being married or for having children. Period.
A married couple with 1 kid and with my salary pays $5500 less in taxes. Do they really deserve $5500 more om my labor in the form of government welfare? Entitlements are entitlements. That’s my labor. I want to keep it.
