Miss Oklahoma USA Morgan Elizabeth Woolard: "I'm a huge believer in states' rights. I think that's what's so wonderful about America. So I think it's perfectly fine for Arizona to create that law."
She was asked what she thought about the new immigration law in Arizona. The judge who asked her the question was Oscar Nunez.

The family of the winner (Miss Michigan USA)is a refugee family from Lebanon and actually is Greek Catholic (not Muslim). Can you imagine a Muslim woman parading around in a bikini in a beauty contest?

Citizens have rights AND powers, sweetie - see the 10th amendment.BTW there isn't anything that I know of in the Constitution that says States DON'T have rights, so if there's a right to abortion, a right to privacy, etc., maybe there's one or two in there somewhere.......

Perhaps the following with make it easier to understand.
Our rights are given to us by our Creator, not by any government, monarch, or tyrant; and we are governed with our permission. So we the people grant such power to the States and Federal governments.
Amendment X - The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
The first 10 amendments are usually referred to as the Bill of Rights, so the confusion is understandable. (Note how the reference at the end of X is ‘the people’, meaning plural.)
People have God-given rights - governments have people-given powers.
