LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A 24-year-old Arab American from Michigan beat out 50 other women to take the 2010 Miss USA title Sunday night, despite nearly stumbling in her evening gown.
Rima Fakih of Dearborn, Mich., won the pageant at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip after strutting confidently in an orange and gold bikini, wearing a strapless white gown that resembled a wedding dress and saying health insurance should cover birth control pills.

It's not uncommon for kids to go to another school even though they are Muslim. I remember hearing Walid Shoebat talk about the same thing, when he went to a non-Muslim school when growing up in Israel in the Palestinian areas.
Those schools would also be prohibited from saying anything negative about Islam and/or Mohammed. And also, Jesus is revered, too, in Islam, but not as the Son of God, just another respected prophet and teacher... with Mohammed being the final, real prophet.
And one thing you can't "get out of" -- is if you're born into a Muslim family, which it's clear that she was, you are definitely a Muslim and you are prohibited from ever leaving the Muslim faith ... or you can be killed by other Muslims.
My kind of Muslim.

I suspect her family are Alawites like the Assad family that runs Syria: a type of Shi’ite with some Christian customs and Christian feasts, and often taking Christian names (Bashir is the Arabic equivalent of Basil or Vassily). The sect were probably cryto-Christians years back, but now are just a very odd sect of Shia Islam.

Actually, the Alawites’ oddity matters: the Assads only keep control of Syria by being good to all the minorities, Christians included. It also made them more pliable to U.S. interests vis-a-vis Al Qaeda, which sees them as even more heretical than ordinary Shi’ites, and would dearly like to see the Assads overthrown.
Of course, the enemy of my enemy is not my fiend, nor even a reliable ally when they are also the enemy of your ally (Israel), but the U.S. needs to be aware of such things since we *are* a great power and have to pay attention to the niceties of distinctions between implacable enemies and enemies we can twist to do our will when necessary.

That might be okay for International politics to keep up on all that ... but having a Jew-hating Muslim sponsor for the Miss USA Pagaent and then getting a Hezbollah-Muslim monkey for a winner — is “another story” ...

People who watch TV and pay for cable or sat TV are just supporting Obama because ALL teh networks do and they control the rest of the channels. Fox/Saudia is no better. Keep watching TV to support Islamification. The public is so stupid.
