I understand your position that “it’s just a dang beauty pageant,” but leftists and Islamists are fighting a culture war, trying to win hearts and minds - through the entertainment industry, the media, the schools - and we must fight back on all fronts, even those that seem frivolous.

We must do more than fight back, actually; we must go on the offense. Maybe we should start a “Miss Pro-America” beauty pageant, in which contestants get extra points for their contributions toward promoting liberty and American values.
