What happened to separation of church and state when taxpayers money is involved? isn’t the mosque a religious facility? yet, the govt is paying the mosque money to rent a building for the Census Bureau? so, other churches in our country can become landlords to the govt?

IIRC, tax dollars are not an issue - - YET. What I find interesting is the defensive argument of property /first amendment rights as an unassailable shield thrust against the opposition to these mosques on/near ground zero footprints. 1. the Cordoba initiative is planned for a bldg which was damaged by plane fueslage and debris from WTC towers on 9/11 so it is as much part of ground zero as the twin towers. 2. There isn't sufficient funding for the Cordoba Mosque Short on Allah dollars Why would NYC grant permits for an unfunded project?
