Former First Lady Laura Bush has come out against the Arizona immigration law, pointing to the discrimination that her own Irish ancestors, named Welch, faced in their time.

In an interview with Fox News, Bush said the new law merely showed an upsurge in prejudice similar to what her Irish ancestors faced.

I have Irish immigrant ancestors. I bet they’d be shocked at how un-American large parts of the U.S. have become and would reflexively sympathize with Arizona.

“Well, there is at least one silver lining to this crappy lady’s coming out, it should spell doom and gloom for any chances of Jeb “Amnesty” Bushs chances at being POTUS”

You mean Jeb “it's time to move past Reagan” Bush?

Laura, Put a sock in it.

Your feeling on abortion should be kept to yourself too.

I used to think a lot of you.

Maybe the left will finally shut up about the Bushes since its clear Laura is one of them. I’m SOOOO disappointed... Don’t get me wrong, I think she was a fine First Lady, but man, where did all this come from? Wow...

Laura Bush is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. She was the one who pushed for Harriet Miers to fill a Supreme Court vacancy. As far as Irish immigrants they were encouraged to come to America, they arrived in this country as landed legal & documented immigrants. Laura Bush needs to just shut-up ... her degree is in library science, stick to something you know.

You mean Jeb “it's time to move past Reagan” Bush?

That would be the one.

That sound of retreating thunder you hear is the millions of conservative women running away from the "Bush" Brand.

I guess she doesn't believe in the United States Constitution that her husband swore an oath to uphold and protect.

I'm fed up with the whole lot of dems and republicans who piss on our country's Constitution. They all belong in jail.

Not enforcing immigration laws and endorsing amnesty is nothing more than selective law enforcement and condones, sanctions, and encourages further breakdown of the rule of law.

Am I the only one who sees this?

Yes - and her husband George was raised by an illegal alien nanny - thus the reason these misguided RINO Liberals fall for the ‘feeling’ - the ‘emotion’... and not for common sense...

George W. Bush would NOT seal the Mexican Border ‘cause he was in love with the feeling of being raised by some illegal alien Mexican Nanny ...

Such a sad commentary on our Presidency ... not as bad as Obama - but just plain STUPID none the less...

Laura’s influence on Georgy Boy now makes more sense in GW Bush’s Nutty failure to Secure our National Border... ignoring it almost totally.

Dubya was raised by a Mexican-born housekeeper in Texas and then his children were, too:

Mexican-born citizen Maria Galvan, 53, has worked for Bush, looked after his daughters, befriended his wife and won the affection of the first family for her loyalty, decency and hard work. As governor of Texas, Bush encouraged his housekeeper to become a U.S. citizen.

Galvan got a job at the Texas governor’s mansion just as Bush moved in with his family in 1995. (The White House last week refused to comment on Galvan, except to say that she is a U.S. citizen; White House aides were silent on how she entered the country and what her legal status was at the time.)

The Bushes liked Galvan so much that they brought her to Washington, D.C., in 2001. She lives in the White House, travels with the first family and looks after their beloved dogs. She is said by White House insiders, who refuse to be identified discussing first family matters, to be “part of the family,” which is unusual for staff in the formal, institutionalized Executive Mansion.

I am a first generation American, my parents immigrated into this country legally from South America. I actually “look” latin american, and I HAVE been profiled before (cops were looking for latino’s running drugs, so I was stopped). No big deal. I support the Arizona law. So much PC crap going around..

Laura has gone dopey? Ain’t she always been? I mean, she was a librarian. You show me a young, female, librarian that ain’t a hairy-pitted, Gaia-swilling, bisexual, abortion-clinic usher and local No-Nukes chapter founding member, and I’ll show you straight, white British man who has the same rights as a black, vegetarian, Muslim, asylum-seeking, one-legged, lesbian lorry driver.

‘The sad thing is, Laura was always the “brains” of the
George W. Bush family.’

Apparently, your brains went into the diaper pail when your mama changed you into dry nappies.

Just when you think she can’t say something stupider, she proves you wrong.

She must really hate Jeb Bush, as any slight chance of his being President is pretty much shot now.

I think she had kept that bile(her evil liberal positions) closed up for so long that it just finally exploded out.
