Former First Lady Laura Bush has come out against the Arizona immigration law, pointing to the discrimination that her own Irish ancestors, named Welch, faced in their time.
In an interview with Fox News, Bush said the new law merely showed an upsurge in prejudice similar to what her Irish ancestors faced.

Bush failed on both fronts . . look at some of the turkeys Bush appointed to important positions like Hank Paulson and Paul Bremer, Harriet Myers, Karen Hughes, Rumsfeld, etc.
Bush gave us Obama . . that’s all you really need to know.

It's a shame, though, that disagreeing with the majority on Sarah Palin and whether or not she'd make a good president automatically gets the troll label slapped on.
I had a feeling about the Bush's but since he was the better of the other choices we had for President I never said much, but they were never truly conservative and more moderate than people think. And now with Laura coming out and sticking her foot in her mouth, people can finally see what others saw before. They were no where near the caliber of President Ronald Reagan.

Laura Bush is a pro-choicer and legal marriage for gays. It makes me wonder about Bush.
Depends which issue you’re talking about, but my point is that the Left has used Bush Derangement Syndrome to their benefit, most notably in 2008, and when we think it’s OK to bash him just because he’s no longer the president, we are falling right into one of their traps. There’s no need for it. We are just aiding them. You have not been signed up here very long, but the Bush bashing did not start in earnest on this thread until after Obama was elected. It is still very much to our detriment to do this and helps the Democrats in their propagqnda war.
