I love that game. Not just first paragraph, right up front with his name.

Last night the New York Times was explaining how Blumenthal had lied about serving in Vietnam. But they couldn’t bring themselves to say anything like that.

So their headline was “Candidate’s Words on Vietnam Service Differ From History”. Like there is an argument between History and Candidate.

Of course, that article didn’t mention that Blumenthal was the Democratic candidate until the 3rd paragraph.

Blumenthal was funny to me. He played the whole “Vietnam ERA veteran” this whole time. Dems in particular love this game. It never worked for George W Bush, but if these guys put on a uniform and buffed floors, they could use that little caveat to gain themselves some military cred.

Blumenthal just went a little too far. Not a good sign when a lawyer can’t even keep the weasel language straight.

True, but credit where credit is true-- the New York Times broke that story, they didn't just run with something others had disclosed first.
