I was in Viet Nam. I flew in on a 707 civilian aircraft from the Phillipines. We sat on the tarmac in Saigon for about 20 minutes then went on to Bangkok where I partied for 4 days then on to Diego Garcia. I NEVER tell anyone I “served” in Viet Nam.

Ditto here. I served DURING both Iraq wars and DURING the war in Afghanistan, but never would I cheapen warfighters' contributions by claiming I was actually there.
