IT IS LAW! WE WON! NH NOW HAS TOTAL KNIFE LIBERTY! Today, May 18, 2010 Governor Lynch signed into law HB1665 which took effect immediately!
New Hampshire now has absolutely no knife laws which stop law abiding citizens from buying, selling, owning, carrying, possessing, transporting, collecting, or lawfully using any type of knife! New Hampshire truly lives up to its motto of "Live Free Or Die." We all owe a debt of thanks to the New Hampshire "Citizen Legislature" who unanimously passed the repeal and to Governor Lynch for signing the HB1665 into law!
NEW HAMPSHIRE NOW PAVES THE WAY FOR OTHER STATES TO RESTORE KNIFE RIGHTS TO THEIR HONEST CITIZENS.
IT IS A GREAT DAY FOR LIBERTY!
Update from 3/31/2010:
Today serves as a crowning point to all who have worked tirelessly for New Hampshire Knife Rights!
The New Hampshire Senate joined the New Hampshire House of Representatives today and voted UNANIMOUSLY to support HB1665, the New Hampshire Knife Rights Bill!
Pictured left with Prime Sponsor Representative Jenn Coffey, immediately following the bills passage in the Senate today, is Senator Bob Letourneau who co-sponsored the bill and championed it though the legislative process in the New Hampshire Senate. Senator Letourneau eloquently spoke on the Senate floor today supporting the rights of knife owners and encouraging the Senate to agree with the committee in recommending the bill become law in New Hampshire.
The bill will now go onto the Governor's office for final approval. We expect to know if the Governor will join the unanimous consent of the House and the Senate within the next couple of weeks. Should Governor Lynch agree, HB1665, is expected to become law by the end of April.

Hooah
Carried a Randall 14 for most of my military career.....nice to be able to keep that in my vehicle again if Texas would follow your states lead.
I settle for a pistol an a Leatherman for now.....:o)
Very true! A knife very well could be viewed as being ‘arms’. The Second doesn’t specify “Firearms”. It reads “arms”, which could be a number of things.
Expect some twisted liberal judge to back a gun ban on this basis, because even though guns were banned, the politicians still allowed for ‘keeping and bearing arms’, because they let people keep and bear knives.
End of May, perhaps?
Now this is a bigoted law...
I’m British and I am going to boycott New Hampshire...
Everyone knows that the British use a fork in the left hand and a knife in the right to eat...
How am I suppose to eat ???
That Gov wants me to starve to death...
Wheres Barry ???
I am glad you guys in NH joined us here in Oregon where we have been able to carry knives.
May I recommend the Benchmade knife line?http://www.benchmade.com/products/catalog.asp
They are made in Oregon and are of high quality & very popular with our armed forces.
I actually carry a NRA Gaucho Osborne folding knife made by Benchmade. Amazing quality.(I understand Jack Bauer used a Benchmade knife recently)
Wow, never seen anything like it Uncle.
So, Squall’s gunblade really does exist. Who woulda’ thought...
Arms are arms. I’m not a student of old europe, but before the advent of “fire”arms I’m sure the castle guards with swords, lances and fleur de lis were considered to be “under arms”.
Surely RTKBA includes them.
