NATO report calls Iran a 'major Article 5 threat'

NATO report said Iran's ballistic missile and nuclear programs constituted a major threat to the security of the Western alliance.The report, issued on May 17, warned that Teheran could launch an attack on NATO allies, including those in Europe. "Defending against the threat of a possible ballistic missile attack from Iran has given birth to what has become, for NATO, an essential military mission," the report, authored by a group led by former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, said.

The report, which outlined NATO strategy, envisioned an Iranian attack on Europe by 2020. NATO contains a principle known as Article 5 in which an attack against one member triggers a response by its colleagues.

"Iran's efforts to enrich nuclear fuel, develop nuclear weapons designs, and stockpile long-range ballistic missiles could create a major Article 5 threat to the alliance in this decade," the report, titled "NATO 2020: Assured Security, Dynamic Engagement," said.

Cool. Another report by a useless entity.

I am so glad I'm getting so older. This world is going to destruct with the next five to seven years with all these bullies and their WMD. I predict that within the next 5 years the Middle East will cause end times.

Not that I'm religious, but once the shit starts, it will bring in all the super-powers. And believe me, the US is not be the only super-power as much as Americans like to think. I've never bought into that, other economy wise.

Russia has enough nuke warheads and missles to pretty much destroy the planet - so do we with our 5100 warheads that Obambi just announced. How many warheads and ballistic missles does China now have? And what about Chia-head with a couple and all his artillary facing Soul? I'm cashing out and sending my retirement to the Cayman Islands, Bermuda, or Switzerland. The shitheads of the world will always need placed to stash their ill-gotten gains.

Watch, there will be a major international crisis of huge proportions within 5 years. We had the nuclear genie controlled for a long time due to MAD, but now that the truely mad of the world are building them, they just don't give a sh*t. They will launch with the next 5 years. I'd say mark this post, but you may not be able to.

On that note: women are amazing if you can get one; beer is still relatively cheap; rum is always a good idea; Aerosmith and Bon Jovi still rocks; and Cheetos are fun to lick off your fingers. If you have a comfortable couch, and some of the above, you will have fun watching the coming end times...haha!

As I said above: Once Iran gets deliverable nukes and North Korea perfects theirs, the shitheads of the World will either go Chamberlain or start World War III, beginning in the Middle East. Once the nuclear genie was out of the bottle, we were destined to self-destruct and no one, including god nor aliens can stop it.

We had a great run, and I'm planning to sit on my upper deck and watch LA go 1,000,000 million degrees and hit us later with fall-out down here in Orange County, not to mention all the services will break down. I won't care about me because of my age. But it will break my heart for my Soulmate and my little doggy to freak out.

Unfortunately, where we live, if we're not destroyed by nukes or fallout (have Iodine tablets), we don't live by rivers or streams, but have a years supply of Mountain House dried foods. Our problem will be with water if the pumps die or the water mains are broke.

Without gasoline, it will be almost impossible to get to the beach and purify ocean water. We'll probably die from dehydration after the bath/toilet water and the water heater tank runs out.

Again, "It's the Same Old Song". Or ironically, "Stayin Alive; stayin alive...ha, ha, ha, ha...stayin alive. Killing myself here...har, har!

Gonna be interesting when the big quake comes or the world goes to shit. We all die.

Bizarre! If there is any credibility to this report, it should not have been published.

If an Iranian attack on Europe by 2020 is envisioned, then does NATO also envision that the Iranian (regime) will be allowed to remain in power to attack Europe by 2020?

The BIGGEST Threat to Europe, North America and the West will come from those Iranian muslims who are currently in the U.S., Europe and the West. Many were born and raised in the West. Many are extremely deceptive.

Bottom line is that immigration as well as back & forth travel from or to Iran, muslim countries and the West should be extremely carefully monitored.

The main reason why actual & supporters of Iranian regime are winning is because the West often gives them the opportunity.
