Arizona Republicans say GOP Sen. John McCain’s recent staff shake-up is an acknowledgment of the seriousness of his Aug. 24 primary challenge — a contest in which he remains a clear — but nervous — front-runner.
While recent polls have shown McCain with a double-digit lead over former Rep. J.D. Hayworth, in an election year in which one Senate incumbent has already been taken down and several others are facing stiff primary opposition, the departure of two top campaign officials — campaign manager Shiree Verdone and deputy manager Mike Hellon — is being viewed as proof that McCain recognizes that he faces the most serious threat of his 30-year Senate career.

I noticed that myself. FOX has been giving a somber, contrite McCain a HUGE amount of airtime. The only place I've seen JD is on O'Reilly and another show I can't remember. Sean Hannity is clearly kissing McCain's behind. The FOX channel gives lip service to Tea Party conservatives.
We need these so-called "conservatives" to stop talking out of both sides of their mouths. You cannot say you are for conservatism - and be endorsing John McCain at the same time. People need to recognize that.

McCAIN HAS been senator for many years and totally supported amnesty for all the illegals. He is a huge part of the border problem and has had all those years to do something about it, yet he did nothing and supported amnesty. What a fraud he is.
But Juan McCain is supposedly the teaparty candidate since Sarah endorsed him.
And that's part of the reason he lost.

What I hate most is Fox News has this bum on almost every night.
J.D. should show clips of McCain fumbling during the debates, not knowing where he was, needing Lieberman to provide him answers, lying about what he said - even though he was caught on tape, his wife and daughter posing with duct tape across the mouth, him embracing his former captors, him yelling at families of MIA's. The fact that he betrayed his wife when she was ill and married the mistress I suppose is now considered old stuff and not to be mentioned - except for Conservatives.
Give the man a scooper and a broom so he can clean up after the election.

In 2008 McCain was the only top tier candidate of either party who did not win his/her home state with 50% or more of the vote. The people of AZ are on to McCain. He is very vulnerable. Rasmussen has McCain up by 5 and Charile Cook rates the race as a toss-up. The primary is in August so there is a long way to go. McCain is doing his best to avoid debating Hayworth. He can not do it forever.
McCain was recently on Sean Hannity’s show. Why does Hannity give so much publicity to someone who viscerally hates everything in which he believes?
