Obama may personally greet each graduate: Kalamazoo Central seniors to fill out paperwork for Secret Service
KALAMAZOO — The White House appears to be laying the groundwork for President Barack Obama to shake the hand of each senior at Kalamazoo Central High School’s commencement ceremony next month.
Seniors are being asked to provide their birthdates, Social Security numbers and citizen status to the Secret Service so background checks could be performed. Such a check is required for anyone who gets within an arm’s length of the president, students were told at their senior breakfast Friday.

I hear ya. I know what you mean. Speaking of alma maters, I’ve got a story on one.
My wife had a good friend whose husband was a very successful well known L.A. attorney. He received an invitation to his high school alma mater down West L.A.
When he was a young kid, it was mostly white kids that went there. When we attended the event as his guests, the room was about 80% Black. Everyone was looking nice, in their formal wear. It started out as a very nice evening.
When the main speaker too the mic, that all changed.
This Black woman stood there and railed on Whitey and injustices to Blacks for about half an hour. The really strange thing is, as Whites we were there to support this (now) predominantly Black school.
Her presentation was highly offensive. Our host was beet red. I’ll guarantee you they never got another dime from that guy, although I really don’t know.
One other point of interest was the Dion Warwick was listed as the entertainment. We expected to hear her sing a few songs, reminding folks of her former glory. Instead she stood up and explained she wouldn’t be singing at all, and she proceeded to spend what seemed like an eternity introducing every one of her production crew, just boring buckets of tears out of just about everyone.
It’s truly sad what passes for intelligence these days. The speaker and Warwick were both capable people. It’s just sad what they decided to do with their capabilities that evening.
No, he doesn't. AFAIK he has never done a disloyal thing, to Kenya.
There are certainly a host of other things he can be tried for. Espionage during wartime to name one.
Sad isn’t it? Such a waste.
It is, throwing good will back in the faces of those who brought it to the party.
