First Lady tells illegal immigrant's daughter that U.S. must 'fix' system By Michael O'Brien - 05/19/10 03:51 PM ET
First Lady Michelle Obama told the child of an apparent illegal immigrant on Wednesday that the immigration reform should be "fixed" so that her mother could remain in the U.S.
During a trip to a elementary school in Silver Spring, Md. with the first lady of Mexico, Margarita Zavala, Obama took questions from one young girl, who said that she had heard "that Barack Obama is taking everybody away that doesn't have papers," adding later that her mom lacks such paperwork.
"We have to work on that. We have to make sure that people can be here and get the right kind of papers; that’s exactly right," Obama responded. "We have to work on that. We have to fix that."
The exchange comes as Mexican President Felipe Calderón, who is visiting the U.S. today, is pressing President Barack Obama on a new Arizona immigration law that compels law enforcement authorities to confront individuals whom they suspect of being illegal immigrants to produce paperwork.

Actually, this is funny and priceless. They set up a girl to ask a question, and she lacked the comprehension to ask it correctly. She will make a wise latina judge someday.
