UNDATED -- Authorities say there have been no reports of injuries or damage from an apparent tornado that touched down near Hennessey in north-central Oklahoma.
Kingfisher County Emergency Management Director Steve Loftis says the tornado touched down briefly in an open area one to two miles northwest of Hennessey Wednesday afternoon. Loftis says crews are checking an area east of the town, located about 60 miles northwest of Oklahoma City.

Well..., I’ve seen the Emergency Broadcast Warning system come on TV before as a test — but just a few minutes ago (in the Tulsa area) it wasn’t a test ... said to turn to another channel to get tornado reports... apparently Stillwater may have one (or may not) but the tornado sirens are going off...
Other areas, too...

Take care, Star Traveler. {I’m hoping you have a secure shelter, if needed ? }

Watching the live radar, it looks like these storms popped up out of nowhere and are converging into one large cell in the Tulsa area. Of course, that happens in Oklahoma :-)
Be safe!

Well, actually no real tornado shelter (like a concrete bunker) but a so-called “safe place” in the house. But, I was figuring on testing out my theory one of these days ... when I see a tornado bearing down on me ... I’ll try going at a right angle to its travel and kinda “step-aside” (so to speak) and let it pass me on by ... LOL ... (sounds good, anyway ... :-) ...).
The last one I was in (well... the only one I was in...) was at the 61st Street Pier in Galveston on the day Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans ... it went right over the top of the buiilding on that 61st Street Pier (no longer there, by the way; taken out by the last hurricane) and I was in it ... hoo-boy! Fortunately it wasn’t too strong but it tore the place up a bit ....

That theory might not work well with a quarter mile wide tornado. Be safe!

In my early 50s, and have lived in the mid-west most of my life. Haven’t seen one on the ground, yet.
They say I saw a real bad one when I was still in diapers....
.. but I don’t remember it : )
