Mitt Romney might yet become the first Hispanic president of the United States. But first, the likely 2012 presidential candidate is doing something really important — going to bat for legal immigrants.

First things first. You heard right. I said Romney could become the first Hispanic president. ....

Romney's view is totally typical of Chamber of Commerce types who want to flood this country with cheap labor:

Romney wants to encourage more legal immigration, with a special emphasis on recruiting and retaining high-skilled immigrants. He told Hewitt that, if he had his way, we would literally staple a green card to the diploma of every foreign student who graduates from a university in the United States.

Might as well consider him to be the 3rd black president. If he runs we’ll end up with a black president for sure.

With unemployment so high H1B visas make no sense at this moment. If in the future the market has a need then by all means increase the allotment.

While on the face of it, what he is saying makes some sense, “stapling a green card” on to each diploma does not.

MANY of the products spun out by our colleges and universities are NOT productive members of society. Look at all the attorneys, sociologists and political science majors who wind up as left-wing ideologues as that is what they were taught in school.

And I’m NOT entranced with the prospect of thousands of Muslim engineers and chemists finding a niche in America to apply thier knowledge of explosives and other destructive gadgets HERE on US.

Romney is a fraud.

Bush II was a TERRIBLE President. But he was to the RIGHT of Romney.

And THAT is very bad news for the GOP and for America if they are serious about running this guy in 2012.

And yet, he insisted, we make it difficult for people who come to the United States legally to study or work to remain here after their visa expires and become productive, wage-earning, tax-paying members of society.

What happened to the idea that people come here to study so they can go back to their home country and improve things there with great US education they obtained?

Or what happened to the old Cold War idea that those returning home would spread the message of how great the USA is, and that would win many new friends and better diplomatic relations for the US?

But the idea that every foreigner who comes to the US and earns a degree should be allowed to stay is preposterous.

We certainly don’t need any more guest workers right now. There should be a trigger that shuts off new guest workers anytime the unemployment rate gets above a couple percent.

Romney is a Democrat in a Republican suit; rich and untrustworthy. He’ll take any side of a problem as long as he can line his pockets as a result.

MORE IMMIGRANT WOES FOR ROMNEY;
GOP candidate fires landscaper after Globe shows continued use of illegal workers December 5, 2007 Standing on stage at a Republican debate on the Gulf Coast of Florida last week, Mitt Romney repeatedly lashed out at rival Rudy Giuliani for providing sanctuary to illegal immigrants in New York City. Yet, the next morning, on Thursday, at least two illegal immigrants stepped out of a hulking maroon pickup truck in the driveway of Romney’s Belmont house, then proceeded to spend several hours raking leaves, clearing debris from Romney’s tennis court, and loading the refuse onto the truck. In fact, their work was part of a regular pattern. Even after a Globe story in December 2006 highlighted Romney’s use of a landscaping company that employs illegal immigrants to tend to his grounds, Romney continued to employ Community Lawn Service With a Heart - until yesterday. The company continued to employ illegal immigrants.

Romney tanked Massachusetts with his fellow illegals from Mexico.

Gaskell and George Romney were born in Utah, in 1871 and 1873.

Utah became a State long after they moved to Mexico so they were not US citizens nor were their children.

Mitt’s father George was born in Mexico and the family moved to Utah well after Utah had become a state.

Mitt Romney (backstabber of Gov. Palin during Election2008)
is just another anchor baby, and his parents reportedly
never even became naturalized citizens.

This is why RomneyBOT attack anyone demanding a bc of Obama.

Where are Romney and his father’s BCs?
