It’s amazing some have not broken their necks with the high heels they wear today.
That picture is a classic. I love the Asian Peter Lorre behind the Lama.
Looks more like Jack Soo from Barney Miller.
You’d make more sense if you could spell.
Doesn’t matter, you move to her and ask her if she’s OK ... I did it at the mall yesterday for a lady that slipped. It is COMMON COURTESY ... this bozo doesn’t have ANY of that ... must not have been in the Alynski training program.
Her dress was way too long to negotiate steps. She stepped on the hem. Unpractical dress.
She did fine, but he should have said something. Bush would have. But then, Bush was a gentleman.
Obama and the first lady watch as WH Chief of Protocol Capricia Marshall slips and falls on the steps of the North Portico.
Capricia Penavic Marshall was sworn in as Chief of Protocol of the United States on August 3, 2009.
The Chief of Protocol is an officer of the United States Department of State responsible for advising the President of the United States, the vice president, and the secretary of state on matters of national and international diplomatic protocol. The Chief of Protocol holds the rank of Ambassador and Assistant Secretary of State.
The chief arranges itineraries for foreign dignitaries visiting the U.S. and accompanies the president on all official international travel. Additionally, the office is responsible for accrediting foreign diplomats and publishing the list of foreign consular offices in the U.S., organizing ceremonies for treaty signings, conducting ambassadorial swearing-in and state arrival ceremonies, and maintaining Blair House, the official guest house for state visitors.
A well-known Chief of Protocol is the former child star Shirley Temple Black. The Chief of Protocol position is not to be confused with the White House Social Secretary position.......the last Obama Social Secy was ousted after the uninvited Sahalis incident.
That was my take too. I have to give her a tip of the old chapeau for how quickly she recovered and managed to continue as if nothing had happened.
The sailor behind her never shifted his eyes at all from straight ahead.
And he had his hat on the way a Chief Bos’n put it to us: “Square those hats. And by square I mean round.”
I thought the lady handled that with grace under pressure.
She cannot be a liberal. She got up by herself.
Did you see how high those heels are?
Yes they are 4 to 5 inche spike heels, and she goes to step down and catches her heel on the hem of her dress. Why wear those heels on a floor length gown?
The misleading photo shows her sitting there and no one flinching to go to her rescue. But the video shows it happened very fast. She was down and up in a split second. Still, no one broke protocol to approach her and see how she was doing.
Had she stayed on the carpet, she probably wouldn't have slipped. Notice she was walking on the slick marble surface.
I am still working on how they walk in them. LOL
I didn’t see Michelle spring to action either.
With so much out there to critisize Mr. Obama about, this is not one of them. She was back on her feet before anyone could react.
She works for him, therefore no more than a lackey...period.
he really didnt have enough time to do anything.
He had time to turn to Michelle, make a face and laugh at the girl that slipped.
