That power plant was built by Los Angeles, in Arizona, for one reason: TO BYPASS CALIFORNIA’S POLLUTION CONTROL LAWS.
In other words, Arizona has to breathe the SMOG created by this power plant, in its servicing of Los Angeles. In fact, this power plant is HUGE and it is DIRTY, as it burns coal and actually clouds up the Grand Canyon...Arizona’s BIGGEST tourist attraction.
Arizona has EVERY RIGHT to, finally, SHUT IT DOWN.

Surely inconsistency can be enforced by Arizona...? After all, a boycott should include all monetary exchanges...
Go get em boys...heh.

Personally, I think that it would have been a good idea to turn the lights off in LA in any event.-

It sounds a little like Atlas Shrugs. Ayn Rand would be pleased by the maneuver

They'll be paying AZ with IOU's soon anyhow ...
As the Lizard King of Los Angeles so properly phrased it over 40 years ago ...
When the musics over .. put out the lights...
To: BobL
I emailed the AZ gov to shut down LA’s power.

ARIZONA SHOULD TELL CALIFORNIA: DO NOT **** WITH US!! CALL FOR A BOYCOTT OF OUR STATE AND WE WILL TURN THE LIGHTS OFF IN YOUR STATE AND YOU CAN PLAY "WHERE WAS JONAH WHEN THE LIGHTS WENT OUT?".

This needs to be on O'Reilly Factor, Hannity, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and sent to every e-mail address in America.
"If an economic boycott is truly what you desire, I will be happy to encourage Arizona utilities to renegotiate your power agreements so Los Angeles no longer receives any power from Arizona-based generation," Pierce wrote, suggesting the mayor and the council were all hat and no cattle.

The Liberal CA Assembly is still passing garbage laws to run business out of CA.
AZ should turn the lights out in LA, Liberals were spawned in the darkness of Hades and should live that way, IMO.

No, no, no. Let them in LA live like kings in their wind-powered Utopias.

AZ natives used to hate the Californians back in the ‘80’s, too. We spent time in Lake Havasu City then, and the natives hated for the Californians to come in for the weekends. They usually left things trashed when they left. Shut the electricity and the water off.

OhReally had it on his show tonight. The problem was that he said that Pierce was threatening to stop the flow of power to LA by flipping a switch, which is not at all what was in the letter.

It would sure be a shame if a large switch opened up on the CA-AZ transmission line. Say on a hot Friday afternoon. Just to focus everyone’s attention.
