You would be surprised at the numbers of natives. Ford had their test track there and a lot of them lived in the Havasu area. We loved it there. One weekend the CA people came in and we left. When we returned, the pool area was trashed and personal items all over the place. Had to keep the kids out until it was cleaned. Uck.

The DWP owns portions of these Power Plant, we cannot just shut them off, But, Look for the ads calling for the City of Los Angeles to divest all interests in AZ, force them to sell off their interests. Maybe the Governor of our great State of AZ should make a tender offer to BUY their Interest in these Power Plants, Make it LOUD and PUBLIC. If she did this 90% of us here in AZ would agree to a 1 time parcel tax to pay for it. Make the Offer Governor Brewer. They are on the run, put the stick in their eye, NOW.
