Lindsay Lohan begs friends for private jet, but time may have run out

Hollywoodnews.com: Does anyone out there have access to a private plane? And if you do, would you be willing to let Lindsay Lohan borrow it?

In a turn of events that is making an already sad story seem that much more pathetic, out-of-control celebrity Lohan begged friends and work associates for a private jet so she could return to Los Angeles from Cannes in time for her scheduled court date.

For those who haven’t been paying attention (and God bless you, because it clearly means you have better things to do with your life), Lohan skipped town to promote her pending performance as porn star Linda Lovelace at the Cannes Film Festival. Then, the excuse started to roll out. Either flights were overbooked due to volcanic ash, or Lohan’s passport was stolen. Of course, most us with serious court appointments wouldn’t travel around the globe, just so as to avoid problems such as these. But LiLo isn’t us. Thank God.

Now Radar has published an e-mail Lohan sent to friends begging for access to a private jet. “I would never ask such a thing, but if there’s anything that I could ever ask of anyone, it would be to help me with this,” Lohan wrote in the e-mail.

Lohan is due in a Los Angeles court by 8:30 a.m. PT. She allegedly faces the threat of jail time if she fails to appear. We’ll believe it when we see it. Stay tuned. Lohan Watch is on all day today.

According to WaPo, the judge has issued a warrant for her arrest and set bail at 100K. The judge said she could remain free until arraignment if she wore an alcohol detection bracelet and agreed to random drug testing at least weekly.
